Omaha, NE – A new report shows green energy jobs grew in Nebraska over a nine-year period when the state saw overall job growth decline.
The report comes from the Pew Charitable Trust. It found that from 1998 to 2007, green energy jobs grew 108 percent in Nebraska. At the same time, overall job growth declined 4.9 percent. Nebraska was one of only seven states that experienced growth in green industry jobs and a decline in overall jobs.
Omaha, NE – Omaha's Rosenblatt Stadium is nearly at capacity every day of the College World Series.
CWS of Omaha Ticket Chairman Herb Hames says attendance so far this Series has averaged 22,900 per game. That's well ahead of last year, and close to Rosenblatt's capacity of 23,145. Ticket sales are 17,000 ahead of this time last year.

Omaha, NE – The Mid-America Council of Boy Scouts are remembering the four people killed when a tornado destroyed the camp June 11, 2008.
A ceremony Thursday in Omaha recognized the event. The camp and ranger's home were heavily destroyed in the tornado at the Little Sioux Scout Ranch. The Mid-America Council of the Boy Scouts lowered their flags to half staff at the Omaha office.
