Mary Marchio can be heard Sunday nights on KIOS-FM, hosting a series of programs that feature music that is, admittedly, new to her. "When I started working at KIOS in 2006, the Sunday evening programs were mostly orchestral and choral music, which I know something about. Conversations from the World Café, Sound Opinions, and the other current Sunday shows have actually helped me talk to my sons about bands they enjoy."
Mary came to KIOS after a career as a librarian at Creighton University, the Western Heritage Museum, and the Omaha Public Library. She continues to work in local libraries on special projects, and as a volunteer and teacher. She also sews, knits, bikes the local trails, sings with the Omaha Symphonic Chorus and with her church choir, and researches foolproof methods for getting rid of her husband (also known as reading mysteries!) Her family includes husband, Ric, two sons, one daughter-in-law, and one grand-daughter.
