The city of Omaha wants to annex 19 areas with a total valuation of more than $932 million.
Omaha Mayor Jean Stothert announced the annexation package Thursday. It includes 13 sanitary improvement districts and four business parks. It also includes Miracle Hills Golf Course.
The total population of the SIDs proposed for annexation is 8,752.
The SIDs proposed for annexation are:
Riverside Hills
Brookhaven
Turtle Creek
Harper Valley
Eagle Run III
Cambridge Estates
Woodbridge
Mission Park
Baywood
Linden Estates
Pacific Springs
Skyline Meadows
Arbor Oaks
The annexation proposal also includes Southwestern Plaza, and the Altech, I-80, and Blondo 108th Business Parks.
An open house on the annexation is scheduled for July 16th at Burke High School. There will be two public hearings. One is before the Omaha Planning Board on July 21st. The Omaha City Council will hold a public hearing August 12th and vote on the annexation August 19th.
If it’s approved, the areas would be annexed September third.
