2 face charges in Omaha motorcyclist's crash death

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — The county attorney says a car driver and his passenger will be charged in the crash death of a motorcyclist in Omaha.

The charges stem from an accident Sunday night in which a car went out of control and struck a motorcycle, fatally injuring 18-year-old Fredy Reyes-Garcia, of Omaha.

Douglas County Attorney Don Kleine said in a news release Thursday that 28-year-old Langston Perkins will be charged with vehicular homicide and leaving the scene of a fatal accident. Kleine also said Perkins' passenger, 29-year-old Michelle Plascencia, will be charged with being an accessory to a felony. Both live in Omaha.

No phone listing could be found for Perkins or Plascencia. It's unclear whether either of them has an attorney. The cases aren't listed yet in online court records.
