The Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce will induct five new members into itsBusiness Hall of Famethis month.
David Brown is President and CEO of the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce.
The five new members will be inducted at the Omaha Business Hall of Fame Gala.
It’s held to honor business people whose accomplishments have been significant to the development of the city.
Brown says when the Chamber is selecting individuals, they look for people who have been strong business leaders in the community.
He says they also look for those who have been engaged in community activities, from philanthropy to volunteerism.
"We also look for an interesting mix of people and make sure we pay attention to different sizes of businesses, different ownership styles. We try and make sure the total collection of the Hall of Fame ultimately represents the same diversity and mix that’s in our business community.”
The Omaha Business Hall of Fame Gala takes place at the Holland Center on Tuesday, April 23rd. The evening begins at 6:00 p.m.
