The 2016 ICAN Women's Leadership Conference focuses on transformation

The 2016 ICAN Women’s Leadership Conference takes place Wednesday, April 6th at CenturyLink Center in Omaha.

Susan Henricks, President and CEO for ICAN, says the theme of this year’s conference is SHIFT: Capitalizing on Transformation.

She says attendees will have the opportunity to choose which sessions they want to attend in the morning and afternoon with ICAN’s “Continuing the Conversation” sessions.

Henricks says there will also be a number of main stage sessions featuring a lineup of dynamic speakers.

"We have a professor from Harvard, whose name is Amy Cuddy, she has the first or second most watched TED Talk ever.  And she talks about brining your boldest self and how do you stand, how do you sit, how do you position yourself, what do you do with your arms, your legs, etc.”

Henricks says another featured speaker is Curt Steinhorst from The Center for Generational Kinetics.  She says Steinhorst’s talk will focus on the fact that, for the first time ever, there are four generations in the workforce: traditionalists, baby boomers, generation x and millennials.

Henricks says Steinhorst will talk about the issues that occur among the different generations due to differing work ethics.

The 2016 ICAN Women’s Leadership Conference runs from 8:30 to 4 on Wednesday, April 6th.  To register or for more information the website is www.icanglobal.net.
