Eight Omaha companies are coming together to build a home for a low income family. Habitat for Humanity’s2nd annual CEO Build will take place over the next four months.
Kathy Katt, Habitat’s Senior Director of Development and Marketing, says participants include Millard lumber, TD Ameritrade and Bank of the West.
Katt says the CEO build strengthens the community and is helping to transform Northeast Omaha.
"Habitat builds primarily in Northeast and Southeast Omaha. We found if we can build more houses in closer knit communities, we have a much greater impact and so the location of the CEO Build this year is actually one of eight properties Habitat is building on in a two block area. So it’s really a neighborhood transformation.”
Katt says the house is located at 3170 Fowler Avenue. Once it’s finished, it will be sold to a Habitat Partner Family.
