5th Annual Men's Mega Mind Meetup takes place tomorrow

The ICAN Men’s Mega Mind Meetup is an informal gathering of business leaders with a unique format.

Adam Langdon, Treasurer for the ICAN Board of Directors, says at this Thursday’s event, seven different business leaders will talk about seven different topics, each for seven minutes.

Langdon says ICAN tries to cover a range of topics and find a diverse group of speakers each year.

He says this year, OPPD President and CEO Tim Burke will talk about the idea of Intentional Leadership.  Other topics include Community Development and Cultivating a Creative Culture on the Island of Misfit Toys.

Langdon says the event starts at 4:00 with the seven speakers and is followed by some small group dialogues.

"It is an opportunity to connect with over 200 business leaders from the Omaha community.  We always like to point out that you learn something from these events.  Usually there’s at least two or three really good takeaways.  I like to use the phrase, ‘Everybody is better than you at something,’ so come with that mindset and you will take something away from this event.”

Langdon says the goal of the Men’s Mega Mind Meetup is to inspire business leaders.

He says ICAN hopes people walk away from the event wanting to live life to the fullest and be better stewards for their families, communities and companies.

The Men’s Mega Mind Meetup takes place this Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Creighton University’s Harper Center.  More information is available at icanglobal.net.
