9th Annual Nebraska Wind & Solar Conference set for November

The 9th annual Nebraska Wind and Solar Conference & Exhibition takes place November 7th and 8th at the Lincoln Marriott Cornhusker Hotel.

?

Adam Herink is Co-Chairman of the Nebraska Wind and Solar Conference.

Herink says the Nebraska-based conference is a place for interested parties, from landowners and utility companies to residents and outside developers, to come together and learn about as well as understand the opportunities when it comes to Nebraska and renewable energy.

He says the conference has information for every level of interest because wind and solar energy affects a large group of people plus it’s a growing topic of conversation.

"So if someone was interested in learning about commercial-scale wind energy development on their land and in their county, there are a lot of good panels on that, ranging from the CEOs of all the major utilities to a panel with county commissioners about wind turbine zoning regulations.  On the solar end of things, there’s different panels if you’re a resident that wants to look at putting solar panels on your house.  Or if you’re a community that wants to look at creating a community solar garden.”

Herink says the CEOs of OPPD, NPPD and LES will participate in a lunch time panel.

He says in addition, different developers from Chicago, Colorado and California will be coming to the conference to share their ideas and interest in investing in Nebraska through wind and solar energy.

Registration is available online at nebraskawindandsolarconference.com.  Early bird registration ends October 8th.
