COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa (AP) — Court records say a 21-year-old Council Bluffs man has been accused of abusing a baby who's suffered at least 20 fractures.Rodney Weatherwax is charged with child endangerment, abandonment of a dependent person and two counts of assault. Pottawattamie County Jail records said Weatherwax remained in custody on Tuesday. Online court records don't list the name of an attorney who could be contacted to comment on Weatherwax's behalf.
The Daily Nonpareil reports that Weatherwax was arrested Saturday, accused of injuring the baby at least three times between Sept. 1 and Nov. 30. The child was born on July 26.
