Omaha, NE – Actor Jeff Daniels will perform at the 1200 Club on Wednesday, November 3rd.
Daniels will kick off the 2010-2011 season with a musical performance.
He's been writing and playing songs since the 1970's but only began performing his music in public about ten years ago. Daniels says writing and singing his own material allows him full creative control. He says singing his own songs live is exciting because he gets to break that fourth wall that separates the performer from the audience. Daniels says his musical influences all have one important trait in common, "I like the storytellers, particularly the guys that used humor to tell the truth. Guys like Steve Goodwin and John Prine and Arlo Guthrie. I mean people that just tell a story well and make you laugh, but then as you're laughing, they soften you up for the more serious stuff or that thing that really moves you."
