Additional open houses set for Heartland 2050 project

25 open houses are scheduled during the next month for additional public input on the Heartland 2050 plan.

The open houses are an opportunity for the public to take a new, online survey about priorities and strategies. Heartland 2050 focuses on the eight-county region and its growth over the next 36 years. Clint Sloss, Heartland 2050 project manager, says 10 priorities have been identified.

"And you have the opportunity to click on each one individually and learn about what they’re showing, what we’re trying to do and convey through these priorities. So what we want you to do is we want you to rank these priorities, the top five out of 10 here, to let us know what are your top priorities."

A regional open house is set for April 15th at KANEKO. More information on the strategies and priorities is available at www.heartland2050.org.
