Kansas City Royals All-Star outfielder Alex Gordon was back in the lineup Tuesday night after completing his rehab assignment in Omaha.
When the Omaha Storm Chasers embarked on their road trip, Alex Gordon of the Royals went in a different direction. He was back in the big leagues after his rehab assignment with the Storm Chasers.
With a couple of other ex-Huskers on the team besides himself, Gordon says he enjoyed his stay in Omaha.
“It was pretty fun to see,” said Gordon. “Coming from Lincoln, I knew it was going to be special. They (the Storm Chasers) treated us well, so it was fun to be a part of.”
Gordon looked admittedly rusty in the Royals outfield against Detroit. But he had two hits and an RBI. The Royals lost the game, 6-5.
