Omaha, NE – The American Red Cross Heartland Chapter is participating in a unique holiday gift-giving program.
It's called Gifts that Save the Day. This is how it works: by going to the Red Cross' online gift catalog, you can purchase items such as vaccinations for children, phone cards for military service men and women, or disaster relief kits. Your purchase is a donation to the Red Cross, who then provides the items.
Heartland Chapter Deputy Director Deborah Neary says it's an opportunity for you to provide a service or an item to people who need it most.
