The Bank of the West Celebrates America concert takes place Friday, July 1st in Memorial Park.
Anthony Rappa, Regional Manager with Bank of the West, says they expect about 68,000 people will show up for the free concert this year.
He says this is the 26th year of the concert and is the bank’s way of demonstrating its commitment to the community.
Rappa says the concert is meant as a thank you to the residents of Omaha for all the support they provide to the bank, its more than 1400 employees and their families.
"We have two time Grammy winner Kenny Loggins headlining this year. So we are really excited about that. We have two opening bands this year. We will start with Finest Hour, led by lead vocalist Nikki Boulay. Following Finest Hour, we will have the Dylan Bloom Band and they’re a local band, right here out of Lincoln, Nebraska.”
Rappa says the concert starts at 6:00 p.m. with the National Anthem. The evening will conclude with a fireworks finale at 10:00 p.m.
