Another American with Ebola being treated in Omaha

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — An American photojournalist who contracted Ebola while working in Liberia has arrived in Omaha for treatment.Ashoka Mukpo will be the second Ebola patient to be treated at the Nebraska Medical Center's specialized isolation unit. The 33-year-old Mukpo was working in Liberia as a freelance cameraman for NBC News when he became ill last week.

NBC reported that Mukpo started his journey to the U.S. Sunday evening. He arrived Monday morning at Eppley Airfield. Hospital officials say they expect an Ebola patient to arrive Monday, but have declined to provide a name. Mukpo's relatives in Rhode Island say he will be treated in Omaha.

The World Health Organization estimates that the latest Ebola outbreak has killed more than 3,400 people in West Africa.
