Omaha, NE – Area Boy scouts are taking part in a project that helps out the metro area's less fortunate.
The 15th annual Scouting for Food drive sponsored with Con-Agra Foods helps out local food banks and teams up with Boy Scouts to replenish their local food bank.
Scouts from the Omaha based Mid-America Council placed bags at houses throughout the metro area last week. This Saturday the scouts will return to the houses and collect the bags of food.
Public Relations Director Katie Kassabeum says that the Council is divided in to 13 districts in a tri state area including Iowa, Nebraska, and South Dakota.
