Omaha, NE – The Greater Omaha Chamber's annual Economic Outlook Luncheon takes place on Tuesday, November 22nd at the Embassy Suites in La Vista.

David Brown, President of the Chamber, says the luncheon's guest speaker is author Joel Kotkin. Kotkin's book, "THE NEXT HUNDRED MILLION: America in 2050," explores the evolution of the world's workforce in the next four decades.

Brown says Kotkin will talk about the resurgence of the plains and why it's likely to continue.

"We will have other speakers presenting information about the Greater Omaha economy that resulted from a survey that we took of our members to talk about what 2012 is going to look like compared to 2011. We've also got some information that we are going to distribute that came from big companies here in Omaha that talk about their industries and what impact we expect their industries to have in 2012."

Today is the deadline to register for the conference at 402-346-5000. The luncheon begins at 11:45 a.m.
