Best of the 2006 Detroit International Jazz Festival to air on KIOS

Omaha, Nebraska – Each year, the city of Detroit, Michigan hosts one of the world's largest jazz festivals
over the Labor Day weekend. For the fifth consecutive year, KIOS will air
two highlight shows of the previous years Detroit International Jazz Festival.
The 2006 Detroit International Jazz Festival again featured a top notch lineup of talent.
Festival highlights will be presented on a two-part program to air consecutive Friday nights this month. The program host is Linda Yohn,
Music Director at WEMU 89.1 FM in Ypsilanti, Michigan.

Part 2 airs Friday August 31st at 7:00pm and will feature performances by
The Moutin Reunion Band, Lou Donaldson, Marcia Ball, Organissimo,
Lewis Nash, Shahida Nurullah and The Ed Palermo Big Band.

This year's Detroit International Jazz Festival will also feature a galaxy of jazz's "who's who". Admission is free to the festival. Find out more about by visiting the festival website at www.detroitjazzfest.com
