Blowing snow, dangerous road conditions in eastern Nebraska

LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — The westbound lanes of Interstate 80 have been closed near Lincoln because of jackknifed semitrailers as blowing snow continues to cause travel problems in eastern Nebraska.

The Nebraska Department of Roads says the interstate was closed Wednesday morning at Shoemaker's Truck Stop.

The interstate is also closed from York to Aurora in both directions due to ice, high winds, blowing snow and zero visibility.

Highway 6 is also closed at Milford east to the Highways 103 junction.

The roads department says it is working to clear motor vehicle crashes and reopen roads as soon as it is safe to do so.
