Bob Wills: The King of Western Swing to air on KIOS Sunday

Program profiles legendary Texas musician and bandleader

Omaha, Nebraska – KIOS will air on Sunday a one hour radio documentary on legendary

musician and bandleader Bob Wills.

In the 1930's, Wills fused American

fiddle music and jazz to create "Western Swing", which has influenced musicians as diverse as Ornette Coleman and Stevie Ray Vaughan.

The program is hosted by Laura Cantrell and we'll hear interviews with Bob

Wills daughter Rosetta Wills, Texas Playboy fiddler Johnny Gimble, and Ray Benson

of the band Asleep At The Wheel.
