Boil order lifted

Council Bluffs residents are no longer under a boil water order.

Council Bluffs Water Works director Doug Drummey announced Thursday afternoon that the boil order was lifted. The order was issued Wednesday as a precautionary measure after a water main break at Avenue E and North 9th Streets.

Tests done following the break showed the water is safe to drink.
