Omaha, NE – Four Boy Scouts, including three Omahans, who were killed Wednesday night when a tornado struck their camp are being remembered by the community. Hundreds of people came to the Mid America Council office on Omaha's northwest side Thursday night for a candlelight vigil.

13-year-olds Josh Fennen and Sam Thomsen and 14-year-old Ben Petrzilka of Omaha died when the EF3 tornado destroyed the Little Sioux Scout camp. 13-year-old Aaron Eilerts of Eagle Grove, Iowa was also killed. 48 others were injured, some seriously.

Mid America Council Scout Executive Lloyd Roitstein says the surviving Scouts used what they'd learned to help others who were injured or trapped. He says the four boys will be memorialized at the Ranch in some fashion.

Creighton University President Father John Schlegel is a Past President of the Mid America Council. He says the survivors will be stronger and better prepared because of the tragedy. Schlegel visited with five survivors who were hospitalized at Creighton University Medical Center.
