Mayor Jim Suttle's office is hosting three budget round tables, next Tuesday through Thursday. Each round table features a presentation of the 2010 budget proposal. The public has a chance to discuss the budget and ask questions of city department heads.
The round table schedule is:
Tuesday, July 28: Elkhorn Common Ground, 1701 Veterans Drive
Wednesday, July 29: Benson High School Library, 5120 Maple St
Thursday, July 30: Metropolitan Community College South Campus, Industrial Training Center, Room 119
Each budget round table begins at 7 PM.
Mayor Suttle introduced the $457 million budget to the City Council this week. His budget proposal includes an entertainment tax and a property tax increase. He also wants to re-allocate Keno money to the Omaha Public Library and for the purchase of police cars.
