Omaha, NE – Building Bright Futures has six task forces, which have been working since last May on issues including truancy prevention, academic support and career awareness, after school programs, adolescent behavioral health and financing higher education. A series of town hall meetings are going on this week to get public input about Building Bright Futures' work and how to build a world-class education system for Omaha children. The second town hall meeting is Wednesday, six PM at the Livestock Exchange Building. Thursday's meeting also begins at six PM, at the Westside Community Center. The public comments and suggestions will become part of a preliminary report.
