Voters in Omaha’s 7th District will elect a new council member May 14th.
Tim Lonergan faces Aimee Melton for the seat currently held by Thomas Mulligan.
Lonergan is a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard and U.S. Navy and a former member of the Metropolitan Community College Board of Governors.
Lonergan identifies his campaign issues as eliminating the city's restaurant tax, improving public safety, and being fiscally responsible.
Attorney Aimee Melton says she’s running for City Council because she’s concerned about the safety of the community, taxes, spending increases, and government transparency.
