Clinton opening 5 new Iowa offices, bringing total to 9

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — Hillary Rodham Clinton's presidential campaign is expanding their operations in Iowa.

Iowa spokeswoman Lily Adams says Clinton is opening five new organizing offices in the leadoff caucus state, bringing the total number of offices to nine.

The new locations are in Ames, Council Bluffs, Des Moines, Dubuque and Iowa City. They will be used for canvassing, phone banking and organizing meetings.

Hillary for Iowa State Director Matt Paul says Wednesday in a news release that the offices are: "a critical presence in communities so everyday Iowans can get involved in this campaign."

Clinton launched her 2016 Democratic presidential bid in early April and has made two trips already to the state. She'll be back in Iowa next week after making a major campaign speech in New York City.
