Omaha, NE – Omaha's College of Saint Mary is implementing a new campus-wide emergency notification system.
CSM Alert launched six days ago. It was created by the school's Institutional Technology department. I-T Director Jason Degn says faculty, staff and students can be notified via text message or email of a campus emergency or weather situation.
Degn says right now CSM doesn't plan to expand the system to add phone calls. He says ten percent of the college's 1000 students are signed up for CSM Alert.
