College World Series begins June 15

May 25, 2012

321,684 people attended the first College World Series at Omaha’s TD Ameritrade Park last year.

The Mens’ College World Series begins June 15. It’ll be the 62nd year of the College World Series in Omaha. This year, the first games begin at 4PM. That’s a change from the usual 1PM start.

CWS Omaha Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Kathryn Morrissey says members of the U.S. Army Golden Knights parachute team will participate in opening ceremonies on the 15th. On June 17th, officials anticipate the eight millionth fan in the six-decade history of the College World Series will attend a game.

Metro Area Transit’s Stadium Circulator, and bicycle parking, will both be available during this year’s Series. Morrissey says both were popular options last year.
