Commission to consider Lake McConaughy/Ogallala master plan

LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission is set to consider a master plan for Lakes McConaughy and Ogallala at its meeting in Ponca State Park.

Staff members have recommended the commission approve the plan at its meeting on Oct. 21. If approved, the plan would serve as a road map for future development at the lakes over the next 20 years.

More information is available online at OutdoorNebraska.gov/LakeMcConaughyPlan.

The commission meeting begins at 8 a.m. at the Missouri National Recreational River Resource and Education Center.

The commission will also consider amending park regulations to reflect legal changes to resident minimum park entry permit fees, as well as amending park regulations to allow higher entry fees for nonresidents.
