Omaha Parks and Recreation officials say a community garden was stolen over the weekend.

In a news release, Parks officials say the 4,800 square foot garden at Sherman Community Center was dug up and stolen. Sherman Community Center is located at 5701 North 16th Street.

Children who participate in programs at the Sherman Community Center planted the garden. Among the produce planted there were tomatoes, peppers, zucchini, and onions.

There were about 75 plants in the garden.
