Omaha, NE – The Omaha Public Library's Executive Director says he wants the library system to have a clear vision through 2020.
A series of public forums on the future of the Omaha Public Library system begin Tuesday at the Millard Branch. Executive Director Gary Wasdin says a strategic plan is in the works that examines how each library branch can best serve its community. He says the goal is to improve on what's already a strong library system.
Wasdin says two-and-a-half million people visited the Omaha Public Library last year, with the number of visits already surpassing that this year. He says library officials want to hear from the public how they're using the library, what services they like, and what services they don't use anymore.
