Omaha, NE – Creighton University's Monthly Business Conditions report measures, among other factors, the overall economic health in nine states. The Business Conditions Index, as it's referred to, is at its lowest level in Nebraska in six years. Creighton Professor of Economics Dr. Ernie Goss, the report's publisher, says Iowa's index dropped for a fourth straight month. With continued job losses, a downturn in housing, and a slowdown in economic growth, Goss is forecasting a recession early next year. Omaha Public Radio's Katie Knapp reports.
