Deadline to request early voting ballot approaching

By Katie Knapp

Omaha, NE – Early voting for Omaha's April seventh city primary is reported to be slow and steady.

Douglas County Election Commissioner Dave Phipps says his office has mailed about about four thousand to five thousand ballots to early voters. He says anyone coming in to the Election Commission office to vote early won't have to wait in line.

The last day to request that a ballot be mailed to you is this Wednesday. Early voters who want to cast ballots in person have through next Monday to do so. Phipps says people who vote by mail must have their ballots back to the Election Commission office by the close of the polls April Seventh.
