Omaha, NE – The University of Nebraska-Omaha wants to give voters the chance to discuss the upcoming Presidential debates.
UNO is hosting Debatewatch 2008 in conjunction with the three Presidential and one Vice-Presidential debate. The first event happens tomorrow at 7:30 PM. Following the 90-minute debate, a series of small group discussions are held.
Barb Pickering of the UNO School of Communication says the goal is to foster healthy discussion of the candidates and issues. She says 325 people attended the Debatewatch 2004 event.
Omaha Public Radio is carrying all four debates. Our coverage of the first Presidential Debate begins at 8 PM Friday.
