Omaha, NE – The Lincoln Science Cafe continues this evening with a presentation by Dr. Ally Dering-Anderson.
Dr. Dering-Anderson is a clinical assistant professor at UNMC's College of Pharmacy. Her talk is titled "Debating Medical Marijuana". She says this is not a discussion about whether or not medical marijuana should be legalized. Instead, Dr. Dering-Anderson's talk will make the assumption that it has already been legalized. She asks the question, "What would that mean in terms of the way medical things are regulated in Nebraska?" Dr. Dering-Anderson says it's part civics, part pharmacy law and part judicial process. She says these are things she doesn't think people consider when having this debate.
