Democratic leaders to host registration event in Omaha

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — The Nebraska Democratic Committee is hosting two events in Omaha to rally support for its candidates in the final weeks before the Nov. 8 general election.

The party's nationwide "Forward Together" bus tour is stopping in Omaha Sunday for voter registration and grassroots events. Speakers at the north Omaha registration event include Nebraska state Sens. Tanya Cook and Burke Harr, County Commissioner Chris Rogers and Douglas County Treasurer John Ewing.

The grassroots event will feature local candidates and DNC officials. Former U.S. Sen. Ben Nelson is also joining the bus tour.

The north Omaha event runs from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., while the grassroots event runs from 2:15 p.m. to 3 p.m.
