The Douglas County Board is taking its meetings to different locations over the next three months.
Tuesday's Board of Commissioners meeting is at the Metro Community College South Omaha campus Industrial Training Center. May 22nd, the board will meet at Westside High School. A third offsite meeting is set for June 19th at the Omaha Public Schools TAC building. All meetings begin at 6:30 PM.
Board chairman Marc Kraft says the goal is increased public participation in the meetings. The board usually meets once a week, at 9 AM, in the Civic Center Legislative Chambers.
Kraft says Commissioners plan to hold one meeting in each of the seven districts represented on the board.
