Douglas County Health Department adds a third flu shot clinic this week

By Katie Knapp Schubert

Omaha, NE – The Douglas County Health Department plans to hold a third swine flu vaccination clinic this week.

The Health Department says another clinic is scheduled for Saturday morning at the Civic Auditorium. As with the clinics Tuesday and Thursday, only people at high risk of catching the swine or H1N1 flu can be vaccinated at the clinic. That includes:

-pregnant women
-young people ages 6 months to 24 years of age
-people 25 to 64 years of age with chronic health conditions
-people who live with or care for infants

You'll need to sign a consent form to be vaccinated at any of this week's clinics. The form is available at the Health Department's web site, www.douglascountyhealth.com.

Tuesday's clinic begins at 4:30 PM at Burke High School. Thursday's clinic will be held at Benson High School and also begins at 4:30.
