Douglas County voters to decide on $25 million bond issue

Douglas County voters will be asked in November to approve a $25 million bond issue for public safety upgrades.

County Commissioners approved the bond language at Tuesday’s board meeting. It’ll appear on the November 4th general election ballot.

If approved, the bond will pay for equipment, renovations, additions, and other needs. It’ll also fund facilities for the County Treasurer and Department of Environmental Services’ offices in the former Thomas Fitzgerald Veterans Home at 156th Street and West Maple Road.
