Omaha, NE – The Durham Museum is the site of two lectures this week.

Marketing Director Shawna Forsberg says tonight's lecture features a reporter and a photographer from the Omaha World Herald who will share Images of Afghanistan. Tomorrow night, Robbie Waisman will present his Holocaust Survival Story. Forsberg says lectures like these give people firsthand knowledge about important subjects, "Mr. Waisman is a holocaust survivor and he will share his experiences. Basically, he came out of Poland in 1931 and unfortunately spent a significant amount of time in the concentration camps. Then, once he was liberated, he moved to Canada and really created a beautiful life but he's able to share those harrowing experiences and what personally happened to him and it's a really heart-warming and wonderful experience and we're thrilled to have it here."

Though both lectures are sold out, KIOS will air the Holocaust Survival Story on a future Noon Forum. And throughout the month, several selections from the Images of Afghanistan will be on display at the Museum. Details are available online at durhammuseum.org.
