Earth Day Omaha

The 23rd Annual Earth Day Omaha celebration takes place tomorrow in Elmwood Park.

Dennis Bryers, Chairperson for the Earth Day Board of Directors, says there will be more than 80 different exhibitors and vendors showing green products that they develop or sell.

He says there will also be live music, speakers and a health and wellness area.

Bryers says they will be presenting their Friend of the Environment Award at the celebration tomorrow.

"It’s an award that is sponsored by Whole Foods and it honors one individual who has dedicated a significant amount of time and energy to protecting the environment or pursuing an environmental issue as well as one organization that has gone above and beyond their company mission to become a leader in environmental protection and awareness.”

Earth Day Omaha takes place tomorrow from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. in Elmwood Park.  For more information, the website is earthdayomaha.com.
