Eastern Omaha Business Expo Will be Held in June

By Cheril Lee

Omaha, NE – The Eastern Omaha Business Expo runs June 25th and 26th at the TAC Building. The Expo is supported by a dozen different local organizations, including the United Way. United Way of the Midlands spokeswoman Kathy O'Hara says the purpose of the Expo is to try and help aspiring entrepreneurs as well as current small business owners who want to expand.

O'Hara says one of the keys to a successful neighborhood is strong commerce. She says small businesses offer jobs and create wealth and pride for local neighborhoods.

O'Hara says the Expo is divided into two separate sections. On Friday, June 25th those who have small businesses will have the opportunity to network with large businesses that might hire them as a contractor. Then on Saturday, June 26th, those who are aspiring business owners or those who want to expand their business, are invited to meet with the Family Housing Advisory, the Small Business Network and the Development Centers.

More information on the business expo is available at volunteersolutions.org/Omaha.
