Ebola patient tweets about Congressional hearing

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — The American video journalist being treated for Ebola in Nebraska spent part of Thursday watching a Congressional hearing on the deadly virus.Ashoka Mukpo posted two tweets about the hearing Thursday after someone there asked a question about the potential for dogs to spread Ebola.

Mukpo says it's important to remember that health care workers and people in West Africa, where the outbreak is centered, are at the greatest risk.

The 33-year-old's father, Doctor Mitchell Levy, said earlier this week that Mukpo was feeling well enough to post on Twitter and Facebook.

Mukpo, of Providence, Rhode Island was working as a freelance cameraman for NBC and other media outlets when he contracted Ebola. He has been treated at the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha since Oct. 6.
