Omaha, NE – Metropolitan Community College's first ever Elder Fair takes place on July 30th on the South Omaha campus.

Sheila O'Connor, Public Affairs Director for Metro, says this is really the first event to bring together Omaha's care giving and senior resources in one location. She says the fair will provide resources, information and health screenings, "Our goal is to provide a one-stop shop for care givers to seek solutions for their loved ones. We understand that many may not know all the resources that are available out there for care givers."

O'Connor says the fair will also help care givers build a support system and receive the care they need as well. Additionally, Metro will offer information on their noncredit courses. These courses may provide personal enrichment or help build specific skills.

The Elder Fair takes place from 9 to 1 on the 30th and is open to the public at no charge. For more information, the number is 457-2637.
