Omaha’s District 1 City Councilman is seeking re-election.
Pete Festersen was elected to the city council in 2009. Festersen is President of Strategic Business Development LLC.
Running against Festersen in District 1 is Dr. Ed Truemper. Truemper is a Critical Care Pediatrician at Children’s Hospital and Medical Center and at UNMC.
Both candidates cite public safety, fiscal responsibility, and economic development as their campaign priorities. District 1 includes part of Dundee.
