Financial Planning Day for Metro Omaha Residents on October 23rd

By Cheril Lee

Omaha, NE – This Saturday, Metro Omaha residents will have the opportunity to receive some free financial planning advice.

Experts from the Financial Planning Association and Certified Financial Planner will be volunteering their time to assist individuals with their personal financial issues. Rhonda Heineman is one of the Certified Financial Planners taking part in Saturday's event. She says in addition to the one-on-one sessions, there will be several helpful workshops available to participants,"One is taking control of a financial planning starter kit. Another one is young adults and money, geared toward working with teens. Then another one is going to be on budgeting so we call it Budgeting 101 and Investing Basics."

Heineman says registration for the financial planning workshop isn't needed. The morning session is from 9:00 to Noon at Metro Community College's Elkhorn Valley Campus. The afternoon session is from 1:00 to 4:00 at Metro's South Campus and will offer English to Spanish translation and interpretation.
