Nebraska’s junior U.S. Senator says Congress can balance fiscal responsibility with funding critical programs.
Senator Deb Fischer discussed taxes, fiscal policy, and spending during a speech Monday. Fischer, who was elected to the Senate last November, says she sees two major issues with federal spending. The first, according to Fischer, is that it hasn’t spurred economic growth.
Fischer says federal spending has also resulted in tax increases and led to government growth.
A former State Senator from Valentine, Fischer was elected to the U.S. Senate last November.
