As a Politician-in-Residence at UNO, former Nebraska Senator Ben Nelson will give lectures throughout the semester.
Tomorrow afternoon Nelson will talk about the role of bipartisanship in Congress.
He says the public is fed up with all the fighting amongst politicians on both sides of the aisle.
Nelson says he believes the public wants elected officials to work together and put their politics aside to create good policy.
"I want to talk about my time in the Senate and what I experienced while I was there and what I think needs to be done to return back to both civility and productivity."
Nelson’s lecture will take place from 1:00 to 2:15 tomorrow in the Collaborating Commons at UNO’s CPACS building. The presentation is open to the public.
