LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission is accepting applications for recreational trail grants.
The Recreational Trails Program is a Federal Highway Administration program that reimburses cities, counties and natural resources districts up to 80 percent of project costs for trail acquisition, development, renovation and support facilities.
The applications may be downloaded online, or people may contact Michelle Stryker at 402-471-5425 or Michelle.Stryker@Nebraska.gov for an application packet. Applications should be submitted to Game and Parks or be postmarked by September 6th.
